Meet Dexis’ New Vice President of People & Culture

Washington, D.C. — Laura Dabkowski joined Dexis’ executive team as Vice President of People & Culture.

Dexis adjusted the scope of this critical leadership role to focus on meeting the needs of a post-pandemic workforce – a workforce that requires flexibility, strives to optimize their work-life balance, and values diversity, equity, and inclusion more than ever before.

Laura brings deep expertise in HR, organizational development, and business process improvement. She has a track record of acquiring, developing, managing, and retaining talent, increasing staff engagement, and reducing attrition in dynamic, fast-paced environments. She’s worked with organizations of all sizes, including for-profit companies and NGOs, tailoring strategies and tactics to specific staff profiles and needs and organizational cultures.

“We are excited to welcome Laura to our team,” said Mihir Desai, founder and CEO of Dexis. “I particularly appreciate her experience in organizational design and development, business integration, and enterprise transformation – all focused on better serving clients while simultaneously improving business outcomes. These skills will be put to good use as Dexis continues to evolve and grow.”

Laura was eager to join Dexis because she says, “we share similar values – being passionate about what we do, with an unwavering commitment to integrity and best in class practices focused on all stakeholders, including both internal staff and external clients.”

Prior to joining Dexis, Laura consulted in HR strategy and implementation and organizational design and effectiveness. She previously served as SVP, People and Organizational Development for ABS, an international NGO, VP of Human Resources at ARAMARK Higher Education and Healthcare/Technical Services businesses, and VP of Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness at GE Capital. She has an MBA in Industrial Relations from Xavier University and a BS in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, and Organizational Development from Bowling Green State University.
