Dexis Consulting Group CEO Mihir Desai immigrated to the United States over 35 years ago and followed his passion to build a company that values all individuals and the unique perspectives and abilities they bring to the workforce.

Dexis strives to build and maintain a safe environment where we celebrate diverse backgrounds, treat everyone with respect, and value the unique lived experiences each person brings based on their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, veteran status, national origin, age, and geography. We exhibit inclusive behaviors toward one another, within our communities, and in partnership with our clients and stakeholders.

Dexis is proud of the diversity of our U.S. workforce, including at leadership and management levels, but nevertheless aims to elevate underrepresented groups even further. Ultimately, a diverse workforce makes us a stronger, more innovative company that can more effectively execute client goals and U.S. interests around the world.

Our Approach

Starting in 2020 and continuing into the present, Dexis took action to increase inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility by:

  • Establishing an Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Council comprised of senior leadership and staff from various levels and business units.
  • Reporting demographic statistics internally and externally.
  • Ensuring compensation and role equity across Dexis and alignment to competitive market best practices.
  • Enabling staff-led efforts to revamp candidate sourcing and recruiting processes, training, and professional development opportunities suited to each employee.
  • Supporting employee-driven social causes through a matching donations program.
  • Recognizing heritage and history months with sessions, activities, and information for all staff to gain greater awareness and celebrate their colleagues.

U.S. Employee Demographics

  • From 2021 to 2022, Dexis increased the representation of people of color by 4 percentage points.
  • From 2021 to 2022, Dexis increased the representation of Asian employees in the US by 29% and the representation of Hispanic or Latino employees in the U.S. by 47%.
  • In 2022, our new hires were more diverse than ever. Of the U.S. staff hired in 2022, 51% of staff were people of color, which is higher than the overall population of people of color at Dexis.
  • Our representation of women in Dexis’ workforce remains strong, including among our leadership team, which is over 60% women.
  • In 2023, people of color account for 40% of our staff in leadership (Executive/Senior Level Officials and Managers) roles.
