About Us

Dexis is a professional services firm that solves the most pressing social challenges in complex environments, paving the way for a more secure and prosperous world. Our vision is to be a leader among professional service firms working at the center of the U.S. Government’s most critical foreign assistance and national security challenges, recognized for our steadfast commitment to ingenuity, integrity, and investment in our people.

We support the missions of leading global engagement agencies, including USAID, the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Department of Defense. We specialize in advancing democracy, improving access to justice, ensuring program effectiveness, and boosting federal workforces in the United States and around the world.

Dexis’ portfolio of projects is divided into two divisions, each with its own distinct origins, scope, and vision for impact in the coming years: our International Development division and our subsidiary Dexis Professional Services.

Our Center for Global Security and Stabilization serves as Dexis’ thought leader and identifies technical and regional focus areas to address some of the world’s most pressing security and stabilization issues.

Our staff of 500 headquarters and project employees maintain an active presence across 80 countries. Dexis staff are also embedded in U.S. Government agencies in the United States and around the world. We operate within an ISO 9001-certified quality management system and embrace new technology to optimize our work. Our culture of learning and evolving is built into everything we do.

Established in 2001, Dexis has grown at double-digit rates for over a decade and is now a solidly middle-market company, a feat demonstrated by 2.5% of small government services firms

We are committed to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility as the foundation of our corporate culture. Women make up 64% of U.S. staff and 60% of our executive and senior level officials and managers. In 2022, 42% of our U.S. staff were people of color and our new hires continue to be more diverse than ever. Of the U.S. staff hired in 2022, 51% of staff were people of color.

We are an active member of the communities where we work and provide matching donations to employee-driven social causes. Our employees have top ranked Dexis in Glassdoor as a company with the best growth prospects among its peers.

A History of Dexis

Twenty years ago, CEO Mihir Desai started Dexis with a vision to
