This evaluation looked at the impact and effectiveness of USAID’s programs to improve water resources management in Jordan during the period 1995 – 2002. The evaluation team completed a general assessment of the water sector and examined the extent to which USAID-funded activities had strengthened water sector institutions, increased water use efficiency, and improved wastewater quality. The team’s final report presented options for USAID/Jordan to consider in developing a possible follow-on water sector assistance strategy, with emphasis on better use of water resources and improved water sector management for resource sustainability.
