Duration
- 2004 – 2007
As a subcontractor, Checchi worked to strengthen the rule of law in Mexico by increasing the effectiveness of the criminal justice system and expanding access to justice for marginalized populations. The program supported Mexico’s transition to an oral adversarial system that required massive change in how justice is administered. Among other activities, the project assisted with the implementation of code reforms, the training of justice sector operators and improvements in court administration at both the federal and state levels.
