USAID Private Sector Engagement Modernization Institutional Support Contract (PSEMC)

Dexis Professional Services supports USAID's transformation of private sector engagement.

Context

USAID’s Private Sector Engagement (PSE) Hub works to advance the Agency’s cultural and operational transformation toward enterprise-driven development. PSE Hub’s mission is to create the institutional conditions, operating infrastructure, and capacity necessary to expand engagement with the private sector in the United States and partner countries.

The purpose of the Private Sector Engagement Modernization Institutional Support Contract (PSEMC) is to meet worldwide private sector engagement (PSE) staffing needs to help fill critical gaps, particularly those requiring highly specialized expertise. PSEMC supports Missions, Bureaus, and Independent Offices (MBIOs) across USAID with PSE-focused needs.

Approach

Dexis Professional Services, a subsidiary of Dexis Consulting Group, provides full-time technical, professional, operational, communications, and support personnel assigned to PSE-specific positions, embedded across the Agency. Dexis also offers rapid, flexible access to short-term technical assistance for MBIOs seeking short-term PSE support.

Achievements

  • Recruited, onboarded, and manage over 35 embedded employees in the USAID/IPI PSE Hub and in other USAID MBIOs.
  • Incorporated best practices to encourage diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility across the employee lifecycle, such as salary transparency in job ads, diverse interview panels for candidates, participation in diversity-focused career conferences, mentorship and coaching programs, and more.
  • Built and launched a portal that houses information for buying into the mechanism and a bullpen of approximately 100 subject matter experts who are available to provide short-term PSE-focused technical assistance to USAID.
