USAID/Serbia Government Accountability Initiative

The USAID-funded Government Accountability Initiative’s overall goal was to enable key Serbian stakeholder institutions to increase government accountability at the national and local levels. At the national level, Dexis advisors worked with the Anti-Corruption Agency and the State Audit Institution to strengthen the monitoring of public officials and government performance, assisted anti-corruption court units to manage corruption cases, and helped to establish a unified system for collecting statistics on corruption. At the local level, Dexis technical assistance helped local governments to operate in a more transparent and responsive manner and supported the development and implementation of local anti-corruption plans.
