As a subcontractor, Checchi supported USAID’s assistance strategy for Yemen with a comprehensive package of monitoring and evaluation services. The project was responsible for monitoring and evaluating the results and impact of USAID activities, coordinating the development and rollout of the Mission’s MIS/GIS reporting platform and Performance Monitoring Plan, and assisting Mission staff and implementing partners to adapt best practices in data collection and performance management. The scope of work included rigorous empirical testing of causal relationships between USAID development interventions in underserved communities and improvements in political and social stability. Checchi’s long-term Senior Evaluation Officer oversaw this groundbreaking research effort in addition to a wide range of related analytical and training tasks.
