Context
As global health threats rapidly evolve, a high-quality capacity to detect, respond to, and contain public health emergencies has become critical for global security. As part of its Global Health Strategy, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued the third generation of its International Technical, Operational, and Professional Support Services (ITOPSS 3.0) IDIQ as a mechanism to deliver technical staff to its international programs, primarily in developing countries.
Approach
DPS’ nimble organizational structure allows us to rapidly and cost-effectively hire and mobilize personnel for this IDIQ while providing individualized support to each candidate. DPS knows that success for this IDIQ means not only hiring qualified staff but also retaining them. Thus, we provide an outstanding benefits package and around-the-clock support. From the day we interview candidates to their first day of work at CDC, we seamlessly navigate immigration laws and travel logistics and provide intensive training to ensure that personnel will meet CDC requirements and start off on the right foot.
Achievements
In August 2018, DPS presented its management approach, rapid recruiting strategy, and key personnel at the ITOPSS Post-Award Conference in Lilongwe, Malawi.
